Justin's 27th

Justin's birthday cheesecake.  I usually bake him one, but after freezing meals for the past 3 days for when the baby comes, I settled with the Cheesecake Factory sampler :)
Ethan helping Daddy open presents.  Of course, my big gift to Justin was a clean house, since that rarely happens now that I'm 8 months pregers :)
Ethan picked out this card all by himself...something about fertilizing the lawn...boys will be boys.
After digging into the cheesecake we treated ourselves to Justin's favorite pizza in the living room.

Gavin's Blessing

 LOVE this pic!
The Hahn family plus Sarah, Austin's gf
Aunt Vicky and Uncle James and their kids were able to come as well.
 4 generations
Clearly, he has a good set of lungs ;)

We also decided to put him in the gown and sweater that Barb made for Adam when he was christened.  Though it's a little girly, it was beautiful!
Here are some pics from Gavin's blessing on Sunday.  It was so nice to have had Dad, Mom, Becca, Forrest, and Gma H come and visit, and for Dad and Forrest to have been able to bless him.  I think it was also a good experience for the Hahns :) Thanks again everyone! Love, Rissa

Grandma Hansen visit to WI

Hi Family

I have been having a great time in WI.  First thing we met Britney and Justin at the temple in Ill.  That was one of the nicest things I have done in a long time.  I acted as Britney's Grandmother for her sealing to her parents.  That was very sweet.  Afterward we went to supper.  It was great.

Pam and I also ran away and went for lunch and then visited 10 chimneys museum.  That was so interesting in a different way. I thought it was so nice of Pam to take time out to have a special day with me,

It was fun to be in on the anticipation of the new baby, and I am looking forward to getting to see him.  Forrest and the boys came for fried chicken and gravie tonight.  It is always fun to spend time with the boys.  They were at church also and I enjoyed the linger longer

Your Dad has put together a book of poems my mother, Elsie had written years ago.  He has spent a lot of time working on it and even got it printed.  I would never have been able to get it printed if it had not been for all his work.  Your mom has been so patient with all the time he spent on it.
I am looking forward to seeing the rest of you for T-Day.

Love Grandma Hansen

Bedtime Stories

I wasn't feeling so hot last night so I asked Justin if he could take care of Ethan's bath and bedtime story.  I kept hearing this creepy voice and knew I needed to grab the video camera :)  Enjoy!  ~Britt

Mom and Dad's St. Louis Trip

Hey everybody.  Here are some pics from our St. Louis Trip.  We had a great time.  They were having the Taste of St. Louis near our hotel while we were there.  We had real alligator rangoon with a spicy sauce.  Different but good.  The St. Louis ribs and barbeque were also great.  Grandma P managed to survive the trip to the top of the Arch.  Pretty white knuckled by the time she got up there.  The first thing she said when we got down was "well, I can take that off my bucket list".  Enjoy the pics. The first few taken at night are from us walking thru a small park located between the convention center and our hotel.   Love Dad

A moving animation in a park on our way to hotel.

I saw Grandma kissin--a rabbit?  In the same park

Grandpa finds a big enough rabbit to make an "8 second"  ride.

Night picture of St. Louis.  Note the Arch in the background.

The St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Stadium seen from the top of the Arch.

Picture of the base of the Arch

Standing directly under the Arch looking up

Dad gets his picture with Mark Twain getting ready to board the capsule to go up the Arch

Mom "tipping the scales" showing how they weighed things in the early days of St. Louie

Here is the proof!!!! I made it to the top!!

It was a fun trip.  I would go back again.  Love Dad

Labor Day Camping

Tyson and I went camping for a few days over Labor Day weekend. We were at Manti Community Campground in Manti Le Salle National Park

So before we even got to our campground, we went to a session in the Manti Temple. It was a live session and it was absolutely beautiful! It's such a small town that there isn't even a stop light, so it's just astounding to see this huge, beautiful building as you drive into town.

Our humble little campground that consisted of a little plateau cut out of a hill made of bushes. 8 people and 2 cars are supposed to be able to fit.... But we made it a cozy home for 2 days and loved every minute of it!

On the way home, we were stopped for a cattle drive, right down the highway. All these cows were driven right down the road, right toward our car! It was awesome!

The view from out our front windshield. You can see the back of the SUV in front of us.

The cowboy driving them from the back.

And lastly, an amazing porch hahaha. Looong story! :D Overall it was a great trip and we had a fun time together! Hope you all are doing great!
